You’ve been playing golf for a long time and your game is pretty good. But you’d always like it to be better, right? For one thing, you’d like to hit Longer drives. You Could Be The Answer for in the new Callaway 460, usually priced somewhere in the range $ 300 to $ 400, DEPENDING ON WHERE you buy it. This new driver has some unique features.

It not only has the largest potential clubhead and ball speed allowed by the USGA, it has a face thickness controlled to tight tolerances to give golfers performance potential over a large area. Increased ball speed with this can result in a Longer distance more often. Another key advantage is the face of the X460, which effectively is a full 10 percent larger than the Big Bertha (R) Titanium 454 Driver.

In Addition, the keels of the soleplate rest on the turf, giving golfers more ease in Aiming the club face and stabilizing the clubhead into. The new Callaway driver Also has the traditional short, straight, hollow hosel, which effectively allows weight to be moved lower and to the perimeter of the clubhead for Greater forgiveness.

Scoring Trick Ever Try This?
As a golfer with lots of experience under your belt, you’ve learned a lot of techniques Probably along the way to Improve Your chances of scoring well. For instance, you know how important good chipping can be. But what do you do When your ball lands in a trap near the green, your ball has a clean lie, and the lip of the trap is not higher than your knees?

Do you sandblast out as you Usually do When Your ball is in a trap? Not necessarily. Ever try just chipping the ball onto the green? Your ball will get more roll That Way, but that’s something you’re used to with chip shots. Maybe you’ve never tried this before but have Been Sometimes tempted to do it. Choosing the right club is no problem.

Either you can use a pitching wedge, sand with some taking your shot and stop putting on the ball. Or you can use another iron, maybe a seven or an eight. The advantage is yours Because you have a clear look at the green, even clearer if the lip of the trap is a lot lower than your knees.

One Of The Most Difficult things for the beginning golfer to learn is the right How to Achieve Balance and rhythm in the golf swing on the tee Whether or in the fairway. Certainly Practice will help.

Here’s a good technique to follow:
As you pivot back to the top of your swing, your weight Should move to the inside of your back foot. At That Point You Should Be Able to feel about 75 percent of your weight on your back foot. The other 25 percent will be on your front foot.

Never let your weight move to the outside of your back foot. When you make your downswing and make contact with the ball, about 90 percent of your weight shifted to your front Should Have foot, with your head behind the ball and your hips forward Slightly shifting, about 4 inches beyond the starting position. Things change on the fairway ounces you get and start using your irons. For Those shots you want your weight evenly balanced heels and toes Between.

Many beginning golfers have the “Look Up” problem. They are so anxious to see where the ball That They Might go “They look before leap” and miss the ball completely. In some groups, if you do this you get charged with a stroke you have not made. Others beginners will let you get away with it and give you a chance to really hit the ball.

Why do beginngers do this? Here are four important rules or techniques to keep in mind:
- Make sure you rotate your hips properly When You make impact.
- Keep your arms fully extended until you complete your shot.
- Concentrate on a low follow-through, keeping your eye on the ball.
- Make yourself wait until the ball is to hit and has-been into the distance before you look to see where it has gone.

When You Miss Your Putts Consistently
When you finally get your ball on the green, you have a great opportunity to finish the hole in perfect style by sinking your first putt. For beginners, However, that’s more of a dream than reality, Especially if the ball is a long way from the hole. Some of the greats, like Tiger Woods to sink long putts Sometimes to the acclaim of watching crowds.

One of the keys to making good putts is the position of your eyes over the ball. If you do not focus on your target, you risk the chance of stroking the ball to the right or left of the cup.
One test to make sure your eyes are where putting When They Should Be, Which is Directly over your ball, is to assume your putting stance, then take another ball and drop it from your eyes down to the ball in front of you. Should it land Directly on your putting ball below.

White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia (AP) – Golf is fun again to Anthony Kim. Classic Greenbrier is to help solidify it.

Kim shot a 62 8-under-par on Saturday for a blow to PGA Tour rookie Scott Stallings, after the third round at TPC Old White course.

Kim Year low round left him at 10 under with a chance to advance to next week Bridgestone Invitational with a win. He did not fail to Firestone since his rookie year in 2007.

The third place or better to put in place to earn a place within two weeks of the PGA Championship in Atlanta to go to FedEx Cup playoffs.

“I had so much fun to play golf for a long time,” says Kim.

Stallings shot 66 to move into second place at 9. Gary Woodland (67) and second-round co-leader Webb Simpson (69) were two strokes.

Kim’s last victory came one year ago, Shell Houston Open before going to the thumb and the operation took three months off. It ‘been up and down year, eight were 10 cuts and two top 21 events.

Kim tied for fifth at the British Open earlier this month after a deputy. But last week was disqualified in the Canadian Open after the signing of a result that is not one of 11 more than 81 in the second round.

Kim credited with a speech he had after the disqualification of his mother, he calls a “fantastic golf psychologist.”

“It was just for fun, relax and enjoy the position I am, because I feel very fortunate to be playing golf for life,” he said. “Sometimes we forget that. I was very upset with my 81 and noticed that someone in the gallery that was less fortunate. We talked and I came here ready to play golf and have some fun.”

This is in sharp contrast to the first six months of the year in which Kim said he would not be on the golf course because he was not sure that his shots would end.

“People might think I’m exaggerating, but that’s what this game difficult for me,” says Kim. “Back to basics is what really helped my game because if not, would still be in trouble.”

Kim made eight birdies, matching his total from the first two rounds combined. All his birdies Saturday came from inside 10 feet. His 113 yards in a corner of the foot of the pin on the par-4 14th gave him the lead directly.

“I was hitting golf shots smart,” he said. “I was beginning to think my way around the course instead of getting up to perfection and the streets are 40 meters wide and rough is not penal and just try to hit as hard as you can. It is like playing golf “.

Stallings missed the cut in seven of the 13 previous events and third in the Transitions Championship.

From the day two strokes, Stallings has made four birdies. He missed from 34 feet for eagle on the par-5 17th hole that have been linked with Kim, then missed a 13 footer at No. 18.

Stallings, 42-hole went straight without a bogey, and the final will be her first mating.

“And ‘my rookie year,” Stallings said. “I’m three quarters through. I’m sitting here in a single type of compression injury to myself every day is a chance to play here.”

The Old White PTC has undergone a metamorphosis, after Stuart Appleby shot 59 in final round of last year to beat Jeff Overton of a stroke at 22 under. They talk all week was how extensive the course tees and greens reseeded farms, low scores would make it impossible.

Jimmy Walker, who advanced to play the weekend at the cut line, and Kim has changed all that.

Walker posted a career-high 62 rounds in total and accounted for Birdie Kim.

“You have nothing to lose, when you are behind the package,” said Walker. “I told my wife last night, we go out and attack, see what happens. It worked.”

These low scores were helped by the installation of the course. Some shirts were moved and many pin placements were favorable compared with Friday, when Phil Mickelson called the course “brutally difficult.”

Average mark of 69.3 in the field was two strokes better than Friday.

“The green felt much softer now,” said Walker. “You could say they were receptive from the start.”

Walker had three shots to the head, with Bill Haas (65) and Chris Couch (67).

Second-round co-leader Brendon de Jonge made two bogeys and a double bogey on his first seven holes, shot 72 and fell into a group of seven golfers at five strokes back.

First round leader Trevor Immelman, seeking his first win since 2008-Masters, 23 holes without a bogey before a double bogey on the par-4 13. He made four bogeys and one birdie after round 73 and trailed by seven strokes.

There are many variables in setting the club (swing weight, club length, grip size, grip material, flexible shaft, shaft material, loft and lie angles, club head style, material the club head and more). Two of the most important is the corner and the shaft flex.

Lie angle (angle of the tree, and the only)

Shaft Flex (the relative stiffness or softness of the stem)

Properly positioning the ball is necessary to balance the effect of contact. The position of a golf ball affect the alignment of the shoulder and the slope of the swing.

If you find the ball too far back in your stance (towards the right foot) and chest should be pointing to the right of the goal, “close” their shoulders and create a turn to the flat from the inside out. Not that I want to be.

With an iron. Your club face contacts the ball just before it reaches the bottom of the swing arc so that the ball must be place in the middle of your position. With a fairway wood, you hit the ball slightly upward, so make sure that the ball is positioned slightly to the left of the center position.

When using the driver’s seat the ball just inside the left heel and it feels about 60% of the weight is on the right side. This will help you keep your shoulders square to the position, and gives you the feeling of playing uphill, with the right shoulder slightly lower than the left.

On the Tee: When you hit your irons off the tee, the rules allow you to place the ball on a tee. But be careful not to tee your irons or woods high in this situation. If you do, you will have a very high contact your club face and hitting low shots with loft too. The right height for a fairway wood weave or iron is high enough, because the thin part of you can fit in the grass and the ball.

Make your own driver should be high so that half of the ball is over the top of the clubhead. The tea ball pretty high and will encourage you to sweep the ball “inside” the line of fire. In order to get more distance to go and try to do when you hit the ground.
